OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2010. The meeting of enterprises-suppliers of the vendor items and manufacturers of AN-148s, AN-140s, AN-74s, AN-32s took place at ANTONOV Company. Representatives of more than 30 participants of those programmes including United Aircraft Corporation, Voronezh Aircraft Building JSC, Aviakor-Samara Aviation Plant JSC, Motor Sich JSC, Kharkov Aircraft Manufacturing Company, FED JSC participated in the meeting. D.S.Kiva, General Designer of ANTONOV Company, said in his opening speech: “Today our airplanes enter the market under conditions of big competition. To occupy the worthy niche, they must have not high integral parameters only, but to differ with qualitative components. All the vendor items mounted on the aircraft must have sufficient service life, mean time between failures, low purchasing price and operational expences. ANTONOV airplanes equipped with such components can satisfy the operators’ requirements”.

In order to reach this aim, the participants of the meeting determined the following measures:

alternative approach to choice of suppliers of the components for the aircraft serial production;

organization of the united centre of sale of ANTONOV aircraft;

optimization of the prices on the components taking into account their technical and economic parameters including service lives and reliability.

The meeting became an important step in planning the further joint work of the enterprises of Russia and Ukraine providing the competitive abilities of ANTONOV airplanes.
