KAMAZ Participates at “Russia 2010” Forum
OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2010. Sergey Kogoghin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ spoke at the Russia 2010 International Forum held in Moscow.
Director General of OJSC KAMAZ, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Russian Automakers, nonprofit partnership (OAR), and a member of the Board of Directors of other Russian automakers participated in the session “The Russian Automobile Industry: Making Use of Foreign Experience”. He told about the course of integration of the Russian automobile enterprises into the world automobile industry. All-round modernization based on innovations, high-tech production with a great share of added value will enable the Russian companies to be competitive on the world market. This is a difficult task requirering investment which can be solved only when it is realized at government level.
In his speech Sergey Kogoghin concentrated on KAMAZ’s experience in realization of its crisis-management program, partnership with the leading world truck and component producers, its main investment projects and its business diversification. He noted that KAMAZ sets itself a great task – to become a global player. To achieve this aim the company must start producing a new truck model line and become absolutely adaptive on the market already in the next decade. This is stipulated by the strategic development program of OJSC KAMAZ till 2013 which describes its priority objectives till 2018. This program was adopted in December 2009.
Sergey Kogoghin also told about the key items of the program of the Russian automobile industry development till 2020 which is currently being developed.
