OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2010. The Russian company AMAKS Hotels and Resorts plans to invest nearly Br35 billion in the hotel business development in the Belarusian towns in 2010, Valery Shpak informed, head of the company’s development and hotel technology department, who is on Gomel on an invitation of the local authorities.

The bulk of the funds will be put in the projects in Mogilev (Br14 billion) and Vitebsk (Br8 billion). Besides, considerable funds will be injected to upgrade the hotels in Bobruisk, Molodechno and Gomel.

Valery Shpak emphasized a high level of liberalization of the Belarusian legislation. For instance, Belarus gives an unique opportunity to businessmen to partake in the incorporation of companies alongside the state, Valery Shpak noted. AMAKS Hotels and Resorts applies these norms successfully. The use of the mechanism in the incorporation of facilities will expand foreign investments in the country, the businessman is confident.

While in Gomel, Valery Shpak held negotiations with the top officials of the oblast executive committee and town council. According to him, the reached agreements will help intensify the hotel business development in Gomel.

AMAKS Hotels and Resorts, with its head office in Moscow, owns more than 20 hotels in the Russian Federation and Belarus.
