Belarusian Heineken Group Breweries Output Increased 26.7%
OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2010. Belarusian affiliates of Heineken group of companies – Syabar, in the Mogilev Region, and Rechitsapivo, in the Gomel Region – registered a 26.7% increase in output in January-February 2010 from previous January-February to 1.016 million decaliters, Belarusian food concern Belgospischeprom said in a statement.
Syabar’s output rose up to 49.7% to 904,000 decaliters, while Rechitsapivo’s output decreased up to 43.4% to 112,000 decaliters because of a large-scale reconstruction. Most of Rechitsapivo brands are now produced using Syabar’s facilities.
In February, beer production increased up to 12.4% to 536,000 decaliters.
Syabar made 721,000 decaliters of beer in plastic bottles in January-February, up to 48%, and 182,000 decaliters in glass bottles, up 55.6%.
Rechitsapivo produced 93,000 decaliters of beer in plastic bottles in January-February 2010, down to 34.5%, and 8,000 decaliters in glass bottles, down 81.4%. Beer offering in kegs fell to 15.4% to 11,000 decaliters.
The two breweries delivered 811,500 decaliters of beer to the retail network in January-February 2010, up to 12.5% on the year.
