OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2010. TNK-BP Siberia Branch in the City of Tyumen has provided financial support to children’s arts competitions.

Funds have been allocated to the Tyumen City public organization “Special Child” to purchase prizes for disabled children who take part in an arts exhibition organized on the eve of the International Women’s Day, 8th March.

The Branch has also supported a competition entitled “In Harmony with Nature” run by the Tyumen branch of the Russian National Charity Fund “Russian Children Fund” and the Department of Subsoil Resources of the Tyumen Region. The competition attracted entries from children’s homes, orphans and children deprived of parental care in Tyumen and the south of the Tyumen Region. The children have tried to use art to attract attention to environmental issues.

Oleg Chemezov, Vice President of TNK-BP Management and Director of TNK-BP Siberia Branch in Tyumen, noted that charitable aid for cultural events is a priority in TNK-BP’s community outreach programme. “Providing help for children is the duty of every self-sufficient adult and big company”, he emphasized.
