Transaero Passenger Volume Increased by 73.4%
OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2010. Transaero Airlines has published operational results for January-February 2010 showing stable growth across all indicators.
For the months of January and February:
Revenue passenger-kilometers (RPK) came to 3.71 billion, 70.4 % more than for the same period last year;
The airline transported 774,966 passengers, 73.4% more than in January-February 2009;
Transaero delivered 3,8 tons of cargo, 33.9% more than in the same period of 2009;
Revenue ton-kilometers (RTK) came to 356 million, 67.9% over January-February 2009 figures.
In February:
Revenue passenger-kilometers (RPK) came to 1.77 billion, 82.1% more than for the same period last year;
The airline transported 363,793 passengers, 85% more than in February 2009;
Transaero delivered 2,08 tons of cargo, 38.5% more than in the same period of 2009.
In January and February 2010 passenger turnover grew on both domestic (+41.7%) and international routes (+81.6%). Commenting on the airlines performance for the first two months of 2010, Transaero Airlines General Director Olga Pleshakova said, "This January and February have shown the continuation of Transaero's long term pattern of stable development with substantial growth in key operational indicators. In point of fact, results from both our domestic and international flight operations have demonstrated significant increases and this is our main indicator that what we're doing is on the right track."
