Transaero Introduces One More Hi – Tech Service for Passengers
OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2010. Transaero Airlines continues to lead the Russian air transport industry in introduction of advanced service technologies with a new luggage tracing service. Transaero is the first and so far the only Russian airline to offer on-line luggage tracing through its website. This innovation is a result of a long-term cooperative effort between Transaero Airlines and SITA in the field of IT- solutions for airline business.
The advanced luggage tracing system allows passengers whose luggage has been mishandled to obtain 24/7 information on the status of their luggage. Passengers unable to retrieve their luggage at the airport are invited to complete a luggage search form at the airport and enter this information on the official Transaero website in the "Lost baggage" section. Passengers will receive the latest information about the location of their luggage and its returning. The new service is time and cost – effective for passengers as it allows to avoid phone calls to the company’s operators. The new baggage tracing service is available at all airports connected to the World Tracer global baggage search system.
