OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2010. Experts of East electric networks of IDGC of the North-West "Pskovenergo" branch carried out the repair of HVL 110 kV "Dnovskaja-3" in the first decade of March . This line became one of the first large objects of the maintenance programme of 2010.

Electrical supply of consumers among which the establishments of social sphere, objects the Railway station and industrial enterprise of the Luzhsky abrasive factory, was carried out under the reserve scheme during the working period.

During repair works on "Dnovskaya–3" dead-end clamps on dead-end support were replaced and also 450 porcelain insulators were replaced on modern glass analogues

Two towers and tractor Т-130 were involved in work which was carried out by Porhovskaya and Bezhanitskaya line crews for snow clearing to support EPL. Budget cost of the project equaled 300 thousand roubles.

Because the given network object is located in a remote marshy place, it was possible to bring a special equipment to a working place only on the chilled earth. Chief of High-voltage distribution zone of East electric networks Michael Hlusov said that the most complicated thing at repair carrying out was caused by presence of Railway transitions on PTL (power transmission line) line and necessity of coordination of all actions of power men with a train schedule.

Should be noticed that HVL 110 kV "Dnovskaja-3" connects substations 110/35/10 kV № 116 "Dno" and 110/10 kV № 388 "ZSK". The line has been in operation since 1965.
