Moldova to Presents Its Reforming Priorities in 2010-2013
OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2010. It was said by Prime Minister Vladimir Filat on Thursday after signing of the Partnership for Development’s principles. He said donor-states and international organizations: European Commission, World Bank, United Nations, DFID, SIDA, European financial institutions were invited to the meeting of the consulting group and Partnership for Moldova forum.
According to Vladimir Filat, the Government will present its priorities connected with reforming and financing needs for 2010-2013 at the Partnership for Moldova forum. According to Prime Minister, “Rethink Moldova” stipulates three pillars of the country’s development for the medium-term period: responsible governance, economic rehabilitation and development, investments in human capital.
The document contains the following priorities: establishment of the efficient public service and modern education system; fight against corruption; provision of justice’s independence; support to development of small and medium enterprises; implementation of the decentralization reforms; balanced regional development, attraction of investments in agriculture and others. “Rethink Moldova” contains 18 priority measures which have to be realized in 2010-2011 with support of development partners. Funds in the form of grants, concession and nonconcession credits will be attracted for each priority.
