OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2010. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which reviewed a number of important issues of public life.

Opening the meeting the Turkmen leader cordially congratulated those present and all the people of Turkmenistan on the coming National Day holiday of spring - of Novruz. The fact that the United Nations enshrined in this ancient holiday of international status, is a vivid testimony to the importance attached to it throughout the world, stressed the President of Turkmenistan. This year the world first notes of Novruz as approved by the UN international day of solidarity and good neighborly relations, cultural cooperation and understanding among peoples. Our ancestors, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of Novruz perceived as a symbol of renewal, of new life, enhancement of happiness and prosperity. And today, this wonderful festival has new content and filling in the calendar dates of the Turkmen state glorious epoch of new Revival. Forever entered the public life of the country in its modern history as a national day of spring, of Novruz inspires a single, united people of Turkmenistan to reach new labor victories, said the head of state, addressed the meeting and all compatriots wishes for good health, happiness, happiness and great success in work for the prosperity of the beloved Motherland.

Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan M. Yazmuhammedova reported on the program of celebrations to mark the national holiday of spring, as well as on preparations for the celebration of the 200-year anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen poet-classic Mollanepes.

Underscoring the importance of the upcoming anniversary date, the head of state as a whole approved the submission to the program, ordering the organization and conduct of all cultural activities at a high level and make sure that they find worthy of coverage in the media.

On preparation of the review of sports and athletics "Turkmenistan - a country of high spirit and health", carried out among secondary and higher educational institutions, ministries, regions and Ashgabat, reported Vice Premier H. Saparliyev.

Commenting on the report the Turkmen leader stressed the need to further promote and develop the country's mass sports and the sports movement, the general promotion of healthy lifestyles, which is of paramount importance in the formation of physically and mentally healthy young generation - the future of the Motherland.

In this regard the Turkmen leader noted the need for a scientific approach to solving tasks to improve the profitability of agricultural production and to increase the agricultural sector, including the active introduction of advanced technologies that have proved their effectiveness and, in particular, crop rotation. Elaborating on how to improve the reclamation of saline lands, the President of Turkmenistan underlined the importance of the scientific conference on this issue with the participation of renowned scientists and experienced farmers.

Further, with regard to training qualified personnel, particularly for agriculture, in the context of reforming the national educational system, the President noted that the list of higher educational institutions of the country soon will join the new college - the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz. Currently, construction work on this important facility nearing completion, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, stressing that along with the commissioning of the complex of buildings of high school should be organized at the proper level of its activity. For these purposes, to attract the teachers to give young people not only of professional knowledge, but also a decent education, to fully ensure the institute's library and the Department of methodical literature and manuals, as soon as possible to resolve all other organizational matters.

To the applause of those present President of Turkmenistan issued the Decree on the establishment in Dashoguz Turkmen Agricultural Institute, calling it a historic event.

Noting that the said institution of higher education should be fully prepared to accept students in the new academic year, the Head of State gave instructions concerning Vice Premier M. Akmammedovu and H. Saparliyev. The President demanded to keep the issue of training at the institute of highly educated and skilled professionals, who in the future to work in the agricultural sector of the country.

Japarov informed about the situation in the financial and economic sector of the country, as well as on the ongoing work aimed at the steady development of all sectors of the economy, including improvement of national legislation.
