Azerbaijan to Be Covered by Special Radio Communication Network
OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2010. The Service’s DATA-centre was equipped with facilities of information Internet resources of governmental agencies, TETRA radio communication system conforming to efficiency and safety requirements applied now by most of European countries, optical DWDM-network of AzStateNet and centralized system of information support. Two DATA-centres conforming to standards TIA942 were created with this purpose.
TETRA communication system was created in 55 regional centres of the country in compliance with the State Program at the end of 2008 – originally in order to ensure protection of oil pipelines via route Baku-Agstafa, Baku-Khudat, and then Baku-Astara. This year it is expected to create and put into operation such a system along highway Baku-Shemakha-Zagatala-Balaken, and before the end of 2011 to cover the entire territory of Azerbaijan.
Currently 5,430 radio stations of the Ministries of Internal Affairs, of National Security, of Emergency Situations and of Health, the State Special Guard Service, State Frontier Service, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), and a range of other organizations are connected to TETRA system.
Optical DWDM-network of AzStateNet allows to carry out high-speed information exchange between governmental agencies and their branches. Up to date 128 governmental agencies have been provided with high-speed Internet.
