OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2010. In January 2010, the current account balance on the Lithuania’s Balance of Payments recorded a deficit of LTL 133.4 million. Compared with the balance surplus of LTL 1.3 billion in December 2009, the negative change in the balance amounted to LTL 1.5 billion, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.

In January, the deficit on the current account balance was mainly the result of a change in income balance when instead of being in surplus it again registered a deficit. In January 2009, the deficit on the current account of the Balance of Payments made up LTL 106.9 million.

The above data was released today by the Statistics Department of the Bank of Lithuania.
