OREANDA-NEWS. March 17, 2010. Belarus’ international reserves, based on the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) methodology, went down to 1.3% in January-February 2010 up to USD 5.577 billion as of March 1, 2010, according the National Statistics Committee.

As of February 1, foreign currency reserves amounted to USD 2.732 billion, up to 8.4% in January-February, the amount of monetary gold reached the equivalent of USD 820.7 million, down to 0.05%, and other assets were at USD 1.459 million, down to 15.8%.

In 2009, Belarus’ reserves went up by USD 2.591 billion, or 84.7%. This year, international reserves are projected to rise by USD 500 million-USD 1.83 billion.
