OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2010. Ingosstrakh paid to its client, one of the largest Russian banks, an indemnity of over 5.3 mln rubles for damage of an ATM by intruders and theft of cash.

According to the order to initiate criminal proceedings, the night between October 13 and 14, 2009 unidentified persons illegally accessed a branch of one of the largest Russian banks, forced the ATM and stole the cash.

The damaged ATM with the cash was insured by Ingosstrakh under a property insurance contract. The total loss amount of the Insured for the non-repairable ATM and the stolen cash amounted to over 5.3 mln rubles.

In 2009 the overall insurance indemnity paid by Ingosstrakh OJSIC for this type of loss amounted to 32 mln rubles.
