Electricity Generation in Grid of Ukraine Increased by 11.4% in 2010
OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2010. In January-February 2010, Electricity Generation in the Grid of Ukraine Increased by 11.4% or by 3,558 TWh yoy: to 34,806 TWh, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine informed UNIAN.
According to the information, in the two months thermal power plants (TPP) increased electricity generation by 22.5%, or 2,950 TWh: to 16,083 TWh, nuclear power plants (NPP) by 1.4%, or 207,8 m kWh: to 14,840 TWh, customer’s plants and communal CHPPs by 6%, or 90,3 m kWh: to 1,595 TWh.
In January-February, HPP and PSPP raised electricity generation by 15.6%: to 2,285 TWh.
As UNIAN reported, electricity generation in the Grid of Ukraine dropped by 9.8% in 2009, or by 18,768 TWh, compared to 2008: 172, 907.4 TWh.
UNIAN reference. Based on 2008 results, electricity generation in the Grid reduced by 1.8%, or 3,438 TWh, compared to 2007: to 191,688 TWh.
In 2007, electricity generation in the Grid increased by 1.6%, or 3,6 TWh, compared to 2006: to 195,130.5 TWh.
