Turkmenistan Launched Agricultural Reform
OREANDA-NEWS. March 12, 2010. To ensure a plenty of food products on the domestic markets is a priority goal of the agricultural reform launched in Turkmenistan on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan. In this regard the establishment of an extended production infrastructure of the agro-industry sector and construction of agricultural enterprises including poultry farms in all the regions are of particular importance. The successful examples can include the Gush Toplumy complex in Baharly Etrap, Ahal Velayat and the Perganat state-run enterprise affiliated with the Food Industry Association of Turkmenistan and specializing in breeding broilers and producing broiler products.
This list has been recently replenished by the pedigree poultry farm of the Turkmenmallary Association, which is established in S. A. Niyazov farmers association in Tejen Etrap. About 100,000 heads will be bred at the poultry farms are under construction in four farmers associations.
The poultry farm in Tejen Etrap has four buildings for breeding chickens and hens. The poultry-houses are supplied with state-of-the-art equipment including the systems distributing fodder, supplying water and collecting egg and completely isolated from the other buildings. The air-conditioning, ventilation and heating systems maintain the clearness of the air and temperature inside the facility.
5,500 hens and over 600 roosters were selected from 14,000 chickens for hybridization. High-calorie fodder will promote the growth of chickens. 45,000-50,000 chicks will be bred there every month and delivered to the farms affiliated with the Turkmenmallary Association, private enterprises and households.
In particular, one-day-old chickens will be delivered to the Katreddin farmers association in Sayat Etrap, Lebap Velayat, egg to the Gushchuluk farm in S. A. Niyazov Etrap, Dashoguz Velayat and 2-3-month-old chickens to the Maldar JSC in Tahtabazar Etrap, Mary Velayat and the Janahyr farmers association in Serdar Etrap, Balkan Velayat.
It should be noted that the Turkmenmallary Association is prepareing the chicken breeding manual for publication. In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan four poultry complexes producing high-quality chicken meat and eggs will be established. Thus, each year 900 tons of chicken meat will be produced in S. A. Niyazov Etrap, Dashoguz Velayat and 1,000 tons of meat and 8 million egg in Bayramali Etrap, Mary Velayat. The poultry complex with the capacity of 8 million eggs a year will be put into operation in Bereket Etrap, Balkan Velayat.
To fulfill the task of ensuring a plenty of food products in the country set by the Turkmen leader the specialists of the Turkmenmallary Association use the best national and international practices through establishing contacts with foreign partners who offer advanced manufacturing technologies and special equipment.
