OREANDA-NEWS. March 12, 2010. According to Federal Register American government bulletin US Government cancels their sanctions against Glavkosmos state-run Russian enterprise. Sanctions against Glavkosmos were implemented July 30th 1998 according to American non-proliferation legislation. The decision from March 1st 2010 cancelling sanctions regime refers to USA political and national security interests. It comes into force March 10th 2010.

May 13th 1992 USA Government applied sanctions against Glavkosmos state-run enterprise after the signature of 400 million dollar contract for rocket engines shipment with India. The sanctions were withdrawn after signature of renewed Indian contract (assembled engines shipment without technology transfer) in August 1995.  In February 2010 USA Government has also withdrawn the sanctions against Voenmech Baltic State Technical University in St. Petersburg. These sanctions were in force for twelve years according to American non-proliferation regime.
