AirBaltic Launches Vilnius-London Route
OREANDA-NEWS. March 10, 2010. The Latvian national airline airBaltic is launching flights between Vilnius and Gatwick Airport in London, reported the press-centre of Vilnius airport.
airBaltic Chief Commercial Officer Tero Taskila: “We see that Vilnius airport is the first in the Baltics to demonstrante recovery of local passenger traffic after 18 months of crisis. airBaltic is delighted to offer the new Vilnius-London service and will evaluate opening more directs routes from Vilnius in the future.”
airBaltic currently offers nonstop flights from Vilnius to Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, London, Munich, Paris, Riga and Rome. This summer, there will also be nonstop flights from Vilnius to Dublin, Hamburg and Oslo.
Passengers on the Vilnius-London flight will board Boeing 737 aircraft for a flight that will last for two hours and 55 minutes.
