Tomsk Oblast and Gazprom Addressed Issues of Gasification
OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2010. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Viktor Kress, Governor of the Tomsk Oblast.
The parties addressed the issues of the Tomsk Oblast gasification. A focus was placed on the potential construction of inter-settlement gas pipelines from the Novokolomino gas distribution station to the settlement of Podgornoye and from the Melnikovo gas distribution station to the settlements of Pobeda and Kireyevsk, as well as a gas lateral to the town of Asino.
Background
Gazprom and the Tomsk Oblast Administration entered into the Agreement of Cooperation on December 20, 2004 and into the Accord on Gasification on September 6, 2006.
Natural gas penetration in the Tomsk Oblast averages 7.4 per cent, with 7.1 per cent in cities and towns and 7.9 per cent in the rural area. The identical figures throughout Russia make up around 63.2, 67.5 and 45.5 per cent accordingly.
Between 2006 and 2009 Gazprom allocated over RUB 1.2 billion to gasify the Tomsk Oblast. These funds were used, inter alia, for the construction of an inter-settlement gas pipeline from the Chazhemto automated gas distribution station to the town of Kolpashevo. The Tomsk Oblast Administration allocated RUB 626 million for gas distribution facilities construction that made it possible to switch 14 boiler houses to natural gas and to supply gas to 913 households.
