New Dump Truck Put into Service at Vostochno-Beyskiy Open-Pit Mine
OREANDA-NEWS. March 9, 2010. Vostochno-Beyskiy Open-Pit Mine (The Republic of Khakassia) put into service a new BeLAZ 75131 dump truck. It's the 3rd dump truck boasting the haul capacity of 130 tonnes used for overburden stripping at the mine site.
"We steadily increase the capacity and performance of the truck fleet at Vostochon-Beyskiy Open-Pit Mine," says Alexey Keelin, the managing director of the Chernogorsk subsidiary of OAO SUEK. "The 130-tonne BeLAZ dump trucks are almost three times more efficient than 55-tonne dump trucks, which used to be the main hauling force during overburden stripping and coal mining at the open-pit site."
By increasing the production volume every year the Vostochno-Beyskiy Open-Pit Mine produced over 2 mln tonnes of coal by 2009, and ranked among the top producers in the coal industry of Khakassia.
