The year 2009 revenue of Lintel, a leading directory inquiry service provider in Lithuania, amounted to LTL 41.8 million, an increase by 6% over the revenue of LTL 39.5 million in 2008. The revenue growth of the company resulted from the development of remote customer care services and telesales.
 
Lintel, providing the most popular in Lithuania Directory Inquiry Service 118, in 2009 offered its customers the possibility to get information about companies and their services on the website www.118.lt and by text messages (SMS). For customers’ convenience, the company offered the possibility to call a taxi by phone 118.
 
According to Remigijus Sheris, Director of Lintel, a company belonging to TEO Group, the current economic situation in the country has increased the popularity of not only telemarketing services, but also the services of customer care by phone.
 
“Such means of remote customer care enable companies to more efficiently serve customers, enhance their loyalty and provide opportunities to offer new services," - R. Sheris said.
 
Expanding activities, in April Lintel opened the fifth Contact Centre in Vilnius, other four Contact Centres are in Kaunas, Klaipeda, Panevezhys and Radvilishkis. All of them are equipped with the modern information system, virtually interconnecting all the Centres, distributing call flows and ensuring timely answering of all calls.
 
At the end of 2009 there were more than 820 employees in the company. During the last year Lintel consultants answered 13.5 million calls – 7% more than in 2008.
 
At present, Lintel provides customer care and telesales services to the following biggest companies in the country: TEO, Omnitel, Tele2, Maxima LT, Lietuvos Draudimas, AB Rytш Skirstomieji Tinklai (Eastern Distribution Networks), Vilniaus Energija, Sodra (the State Social Insurance Fund), and others.
