Russia Launches Web Site for Competitive Bidding for Federal Propert
OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2010. The official website torgi.gov.ru for publishing information about competitive bidding for federal property will start working by the end of March 2010. The website is developed by the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
At a meeting in the end of February Igor Schyogolev, the Minister of Communications of the Russian Federation, and Igor Artemyev, the Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, agreed that test maintenance of the website could possibly start by the end of March 2010.
The Head of FAS Russia Igor Artemyev said that thanks to the work completed by the Ministry of Communications the website is built to ensure maximum rights equal access for all potential bidders.
The agencies also decided to make certain arrangements in order to explain specific features and functionalities of the website to the users. FAS Russia pointed out that the Ministry of Communications employed such technologies for developing the website that would in the future allow publishing information regarding all tenders and auctions for regional property, land, mineral resources, forest divisions and investment contracts.
