Freight One Discussed Railways Development in Central and East Asia
OREANDA-NEWS. March 05, 2010. Activities associated with the meeting in Irkutsk-city has been commencing on February 27 and will continue until March 6. The purpose of the international meeting is to agree upon the volume of export freight in 2010 and to develop measures to ensure freight turnover growth between Russia and the other meeting participate countries It is being attended about 100 delegates from Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, North Korea and Vietnam to the Meeting.
On March 1, Freight One led a presentation on the scale of the company’s current business and its prospects in foreign trade.
Freight One’s Deputy Head of Forwarding Vladimir Sokolov noted that the company is currently successfully cooperating with the railways of 19 countries and its market share in Russia’s export traffic has risen from 13% in 2008 to 24.7% in 2009. He said that one of the most promising areas for the company in international traffic is increasing import and transit traffic. Freight One is ready to offer foreign partners a full range of transportation and logistics services and haul any volume of freight in any direction, being large enough to handle such challenges.
