OREANDA-NEWS. March 5, 2010. Ural Steel Central Laboratory (subsidiary of Metalloinvest Holding) becomes the first company in Russia to  introduce new high-class drop-weight metal testing complex by IMATEK.

The drop-weight metal testing complex will broaden the opportunities to control quality of hot-rolled plate which is vital to satisfy the raising demand on high-quality steel.

It allows to test hot-rolled plate for tube-rolling with thickness up to 40mm — the existing analogs provided 14mm only. The main advantage of the complex is a professional software that allows on-line virtualization and analysis of the testing results. The introduction of the complex will greatly expand the rolled-products range.
