OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2010. Belarus requires 3.092 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) for the spring sowing campaign, a representative in the Agriculture Ministry told.

The money will be spent on fertilizers, fuel, seed and crop protection agents.

Financing from the national agriculture fund will reach 663.9 billion rubles, from the republican budget 900 million rubles, from local budgets 364.6 billion rubles, from bank loans 458 billion rubles, from a budget loan 400 billion rubles, from bonded loans 357.5 billion rubles, and from farms’ own funds 783 billion rubles.

Pesticide purchases are projected at 7,040 tonnes worth USD 139.1 million.

Some 100 billion rubles will be provided from the national agriculture fund to buy crop protection agents.

Belarusian farms will require 246,100 tonnes of diesel fuel, 39,100 tonnes of gasoline, 9,700 of motor oil and lubricants worth a total of 737.1 billion rubles. Local budgets, banks loans and farms’ own fund will provide 337.1 billion rubles for fuel acquisition. Budget loans for fuel procurement are projected at 400 billion rubles in March-May 2010.
