OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2010. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko invites Rothschild Group to assess the enterprises that Belarus plans to privatize, the press service of the president reported.

Lukashenko met with Rothschild Group chief executives.

Lukashenko said he appreciated Rothschild’s work in Belarus. “We appreciate your work. Rothschild is one of the most long-standing companies in the world and we would find it beneficial to work with your specialists,” Lukashenko said.

“If you agree in principle, we could identify 5-7 projects and work more thoroughly,” Lukashenko said. “Alongside having your precise assessment, we would like to learn from you”.

“We keep to our promise. If we strike a deal, we will do everything,” Lukashenko added.

Rothschild Group Managing Director Ariel de Rothschild appreciated Lukashenko’s appreciation of their work, including the assessment of BPS- Bank.
