OREANDA-NEWS. March 04, 2010. Trends on the global fossil fuels markets, major Russian energy sector projects, and energy efficiency were the subjects on the agenda.

Mr Sechin informed the President that oil and natural gas production in Russia increased by 2.8 percent and 16.1 percent respectively in January.

Mr Medvedev instructed Mr Sechin to draft proposals on ensuring fuel supplies needed for the spring sowing campaign.

The President also noted the Commission for Modernisation and Technological Development of Russia’s Economy would soon hold a meeting on improving energy efficiency in the country’s fuel and energy sector.
