Moldova Increased Petrol Import by 2,4% in 2009
OREANDA-NEWS. March 03, 2010. The volume of imported diesel oil totaled 309.2 thousand tones, down 11.7% against the same period in 2008, it was informed at the National Power Regulating Agency that doesn’t take into account Transnistria’s data. Import of liquefied gas increased by 0.7% - to 60.5 thousand tones.
The Agency’s specialists explain the reduction in consumption of diesel oil in Moldova by the decrease in demand, in particular, in the transport services market due to the financial crisis. Besides, diesel oil import reduced due to the receipt of a part of this fuel as a grant from Russia.
