IBM Made Its Choice of First ASL-Partner in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2010. I.T. Co. and IBM signed the first Russian Application Specific Licensing (ASL) agreement. Under the terms of the contract, I.T. Co. will be able to supply the market with own solutions, which include IBM Lotus and FileNet software products.
ASL program, which is common practice for many IBM partners all over the world, is now also in Russia. ASL agreement is a type of OEM contract, which allows I.T. Co. to provide customers on easy terms with its own content management solutions supplied together with IBM software, such as Lotus Domino, Lotus Notes, Lotus Quickr; IBM FileNet Business Process Manager and FileNet Content Manager. The agreement is valid in Russia and CIS. During the last 10 years I.T. Co. is IBM business partner and develops solutions based on IBM software platforms. Presently I.T. Co. has a great number of ECM solutions, including BOSS-Referent electronic document management system based on IBM Lotus Domino/Notes platform, and archive and data repository management solutions based on IBM Content Manager platform.
In accordance with the terms of the contract I.T. Co. will supply customers with BOSS-Referent ASL solution. I.T. Co. uses IBM Lotus and FileNet software products as a platform for this solution, adding some functional components of the BOSS-Referent product line. Thus, customers can choose from several versions of BOSS-Referent ASL solution:
BOSS-Referent EDMS standard version based on Lotus platform
EDMS extended version integrated with electronic archive and based on FileNet platform
Corporate document and data repository solution based on FileNet platform
Full-featured ECM system with network and corporate information management functions
“At the end of 2009 the ECM market showed growth despite of the general decline of the Russian IT market. I.T. Co. is focused on these ECM solutions and we expect that our partnership with IBM, who is one of the key content management software developers, will allow us and IBM to strengthen significantly our market position”, Tagir Yapparov, I.T. Co. General Director said in his statement.
