OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2010. Roscosmos and Odintsovo municipal region signed an agreement “Application of Space Technologies in Odintsovo Municipal Region” on Sept. 25, 2009.

On Feb. 19, 2010, the dedicated program for 2010-2011 prepared NPK-RECOD and Odintsovo Humanitarian Institute was approved.

Application of space technologies in the Odintsovo municipality covers establishment and deployment of the Space service center, which is to maintain transport satellite monitoring, nature management, land and real estate monitoring, etc.

Odintsovo Humanitarian Institute will have an innovative educational center for integrated expert training in space technology application branch.

Volleyball sporting hall in Odintsovo, which requires enhanced safety monitoring, will be controlled by GLONASS /GPS. The system is developed with partial funding from the Odintsovo municipality.

NPK-Recod develops a typical GLONASS/GPS satellite monitoring system to watch similar objects.

Odintsovo Humanitarian Institute established a unique specialist training system, which was highly evaluated by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev during his visit to the Institute on Oct. 14, 2008. This training system will also play significant role in the Program.
