OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2010. Dmitry Suetin, Marketing Director with Transsiberian Re took part in conference “Landmarks of insurance modernization”. The European Union representative office in Russia hosted the event which was final in TACIS project “Russian Insurance sector development” (Europeaid/122436/C/SER/RU).

The conference was devoted to the state regulation of insurance sector and its future development. Spokesmen paid great attention to the international regulation tendencies of insurance business. At the end of TACIS project there were elaborated Recommendations for internalization of Russian insurance sector.

According to TACIS consultants, among the main strands of work are the implementation of Solvency II requirements, improvement of actuarial legislation, insurance consumer protection. European Union experts note the special need for insurance fraud preventive measures and creation of National bureau for such purposes.

Transsiberian Re participated regularly in the events within the framework of TACIS project “Russian Insurance sector development”. As an example, last year four specialists attended different insurance seminars.
