Lenta Wins «HR –Brand 2009» Contest

The contest consisted of the three stages. In the first stage, interrogation of the competitors, in order to find out what their preferences among the companies occupying the leading market positions are, has been done. According to the results of the first stage, all the nominees who have received the minimum passing votes proceed to the second stage where the expert council would approve the best projects. In the third stage of the contest, the demanding jury would choose the winners.
According to the results of the year 2009, depending on the scale of the project, the award was intended for five nominations (Capital, Northern Capital, Region, Federation, World), to mark the achievements in creation of HR-brand and development of corporate culture relating to work with the image of the company as employer.
For the first time "Lenta" represented itself at the contest "HR-brand" in 2007, having introduced to the jury its projects relating to staff work - "Corporate University " and "Lenta - Career ". In 2008 "Lenta" prepared the project "Introductory training of cashiers" for the contest, for which it received silver award in the nomination "Regional Project".
In 2009 "Lenta" submitted the project "Corporate communications" for consideration by the jury, which was represented by the two basic resources –the internal portal and the corporate magazine "Our Lenta". The general purpose thereof was development of corporate culture, formation of the community feeling in the employees, their involvement in the company’s processes and events, as well as retaining and passing the company’s values and missions to the hypermarkets that work hundreds, thousand kilometers away from the company’s headquarters.
"Winning such a prestigious contest is not just great luck, first of all, this is recognition of the quality of work of our staff, and its shows that human resource management has been developed in the company effectively. The fact of becoming winners of the contest is the recognition of “Lenta” as respectable employer in the labour market, and this is no less important for us", - Anastasia Polyanskaya, Head of Lenta’s human resource department, admitted.
“Lenta” shared its victory in the nomination "Northern Capital" with Northwest Power Engineering Centre (2nd prize) and " Neoprint" Company (3rd prize).
Such well - known companies as Adidas Group, Northwest Telecom, Microsoft, Prisma, Transaero, major banks, logistical companies and other competitors, participated in the contest. In the total, 45 companies of various cities of
