OREANDA-NEWS. March 1, 2010. Uralkali regrets to announce the death of its employee who was killed when part of the roof of the Mine 2 collapsed, following a gas and ore blast.

Uralkali expresses its deepest condolences to the relatives of the miner. The company will pay compensation to his family.

Providing safe working conditions for employees remains the key priority for Uralkali. An official investigation into the causes of the incident will be carried out shortly to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future.

The incident will not affect the company’s production plans.
