OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2010. Administration of Ryazan will equip the most busy urban transport stops with the special indicator panels, which are to display schedule and routes.

The indicator panels will acquire the data from GLONASS transmitters. According to the regional officials, 100% of the urban transport vehicles are to have GLONASS transmitters by August. The equipment is also to be installed on 80% of commercial vehicles.

All the urban fixed-run buses will be put under GLONASS/GPS control in the nearest future. Dispatchers already use satellite navigation to monitor 11 routes.
