Gazprom Appointed Head of Gas and Oil Production Department
OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2010. Pursuant to a Gazprom order, Vasily Podyuk has been relieved of the post of Head of the Gas, Gas Condensate and Oil Production Department due to his retirement.
Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee highly appreciated the long track record of Vasily Podyuk, “Mr. Podyuk is a real gas worker, people like him are pride and glory of the world’s gas industry. He took part in developing the Vuktylskoye field in the Republic of Komi and was among the pioneers who entered the Yamal Peninsula in the mid-1970s. He supervised pre-development and bringing of the giant Zapolyarnoye field to the projected capacity and the launch of the Achimov deposits and coalbed methane development in Russia. Mr. Podyuk is characterized by broad thinking, rich experience, an intelligent and systematic approach to any complex assignment. There is no doubt his track record, both personal and professional, will serve s an example for many generations of gas workers to come”.
By Gazprom’s order Vsevolod Cherepanov has been named as Head of the Gas, Gas Condensate and Oil Production Department.
Vsevolod Cherepanov was born in November 1966 in the town of Frunze. In 1991 he graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University majoring in Geological Survey, Prospecting and Exploration of Natural Resources. Vsevolod Cherepanov holds a PhD in Geology and Mineralogy.
He has been with Gazprom for 17 years. From 1993 to 1997 – well testing operator, well testing foreman at the Nadymgazprom Scientific and Technological Center. Between 1997 and 1999 he was a lead geologist specializing in petroleum geophysics and a lead geologist of the geological division at Nadymgazprom. Between 1999 and 2008 – Head of the geological division, later on – Chief Geologist of the Nadym oil and gas processing directorate, Nadymgazprom. Since 2008 he has been Deputy General Director – Chief Geologist at Gazprom dobycha Nadym.
