OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2010. Alexei Rukavishnikov has been appointed Vice Chairman and member of Sviaz-Bank’s Management Board. He will be responsible for the Bank’s investment policy, full-range services to financial institutions, and cash flow and liquidity management, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

Mr.Rukavishnikov was born in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, on June 11, 1965. In 1989, He graduated cum laude from the Moscow Institute of Economics and Finance, majoring in international economic relations

He has a background of over 20 years in banking and finance.

Mr.Rukavishnikov started out on his career in Vnesheconombank in 1988. Between 1992 and 1998, he held successively several executive positions in the International Financial Company. In 1998, he transferred to Vozrozhdeniye Commercial Bank, Moscow, and then to Altalanos Ertekforgalmi Bank Rt., Budapest, Hungary, to fill the position of the International Department director, which he held until 2000. Between 2000 and 2002, Mr.Rukavishnikov was Deputy General Director of the Russian Bank for Development, OJSC. His next job was First Vice Chairman of the Management Board of the Moscow Bank for Reconstruction and Development (Commercial Bank) between 2002 and 2006. In 2006, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Management Board of the Sojuz Commercial Bank (OJSC).

In August 2009, Mr.Rukavishnikov took up the post of Senior Vice President of Sviaz-Bank.
