Toscotec to Supply Syassky Pulp & Paper Mill in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2010. Syassky Pulp & Paper Mill, based in Saint Petersburg, Russia, has signed a contract with Toscotec for the supply of a TT WIND-H tissue slitter rewinder, Toscotec said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
The main reason to carry out this project is to reduce the paper losses on two old existing rewinders in order to increase the productivity according to the new investment plan. The new "state of the art" Toscotec rewinder will in fact serve two existing tissue machines, PM2 and PM3.
The TT WIND-H features 2 unwind stands and is capable to handle parent roll of 4300 mm width and 2600 mm diameter at a maximum speed of 1600 mpm. The rewinder is equipped with an automatic slitting unit complete of 22 knives able to reach a minimum slitting width and with an automatic shaft handling system. The project includes all the necessary auxiliaries as well as control system, electrical cabinets and dedicated lubrication unit.
The delivery of the good is foreseen for May 2010.
Syassky has a long lasting tradition in the paper industry in Russia since when was founded in 1928 as one of the first paper mill of the Soviet period. Starting from the beginning the mill has been produced virgin pulp and paper for domestic market. Actually the company owns 3 tissue machines and sells the whole production in Russia and surrounding countries.
