OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2010. The Baku-based WB resident office informs that project curator Gevin Adlington will arrive in Baku on 1 March.

“Within the trip to last until 12 March he will conduct standard consultations on project realization,” the WB office said.

The project is financed from a USD30 million credit to be given through the International Bank for Reconstruction & Development Bank for 20 years with five–year grace term. Total project cost is USD 38.57 million. USD 8.57 of them will be allocated by the Azerbaijani government. The project finances will be apportioned equally (by 25%) between agriculture, finance (housing finance and real estate markets), telecommunications and general public and administration sectors.

The project will cover whole Azerbaijan.

The project consists of the four following components: provision of more effective and efficient customer services in the registration of property rights through the improvement of the physical condition of the registration office premises and installation of automated systems and on-line services; support of improvements in the management of state property; provision of the basic geodetic, mapping and cadastral data for the automated property registration and state property management systems; support of project implementation and monitoring and to coordinate joint activities relating to training, developing a joint information technology/information management strategy and  policy and legislative development.
