OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2010. The XIV awarding ceremony of the Femida Award prize-winners, the most prestigious legal award established by the Russian Lawyers’ Association and Moscow Lawyers’ Club, took place in Novaya Opera Theatre. Ingosstrakh Legal Department was named a winner of 2009 in “Legal Service” nomination for active participation in law making activities and introducing of legal regulations into the economic activity.

“Besides special insurance law in 2009 we were lucky to arrange proposals on issues connected with other economic relations. In particular concerning issues on acceptable forms of co-operation between banking and insurance sectors, arrangement of state procurement tenders” – Ivan Novikov, Head of the Legal Department and Member of Ingosstrakh OJSIC Executive Board said about the activity of the company lawyers. – Development of insurance legal regulation involves more and more citizens and business entities – in this connection we also had a chance to work with draft regulations regarding direct indemnification in OJSIC, compulsory fire-prevention insurance. It goes without saying that in the course of work we tried to pay attention not only at the interests of the insurance market but always kept in mind the principles of uniformity and stability of the civil law, reasonable and considered regulation of business.”

A few score of highly qualified lawyers specializing in various law spheres work in Ingosstrakh Legal Department. Special attention is paid by the Legal Department employees at compliance with law, company business ethics, quality of the insurance services rendered, necessity of subrogation indemnity and protection of the insured interests.

Let us remind that in 2007 Ingosstrakh Legal Department won in the Best Legal Departments of Russia 2007 competition in Insurance Company nomination. In this competition 65 legal departments of various companies claimed the title of the best ones in several nominations.
