OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2010. Ingosstrakh has paid out USD 292,368.18 insurance indemnity on insurance event connected with main engine damage at ALPENA motor vessel.

On September 04, 2009 during the trade of Alpena with cargo on board from Qatar to USA several cylinder piston rings were destroyed, two cylinder liners and turbo-compressor blade of the main engine were damaged. Alpena vessel had to sheer and proceed to Durban port (Republic of South Africa) where the emergency repair was performed.
