OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2010. The car parks with a total capacity of 65,000 vehicles are currently being developed in Moscow within the Narodnyy Garazh program.

“The parking facilities are under construction on 145 sites. Earlier 42 of them were occupied by the parking lots and small metal garages able to accommodate a total of 4,770 vehicles. Due to the Narodnyy Garazh program it is possible to park 2.5 times more cars in the same area,” Aleksandr Levchenko, head of the Department of Road and Bridge Engineering of Moscow, said on February 16.

The official emphasized that one of the top priorities for the department headed by him was to provide Moscow dwellers with parking places.
