Baku, 22 February 2010. At the presentation of the Azeri Business Awards held on 20 February 2010 in the Buta Palace, the General Manager of AccessBank, Dr. Andrew Pospielovsky was awarded as the “Banker of the Year”.

The Azeri Business Award’s Organizational Committee, in their decision to award the General Manager of AccessBank, said: “At the beginning of the crisis in 2009 AccessBank increased its maximum loan amount for one borrower to AZN 2 million, despite the negative market trends. The fact that AccessBank moved to expand its credit activity in Azerbaijan while even the most successful banks throughout the world reduced their activity merits particular attention. At the same time AccessBank was able to keep the quality of the loan portfolio at a high level. In this way, AccessBank, under the management of the General Manager Dr. Andrew Pospielovsky, made a significant impact in strengthening Azerbaijan citizens’ confidence in the local bank sector, even during a period of crisis.”

General Manager of AccessBank, Dr. Andrew Pospielovsky, accepting the award and commenting on his personal contribution to the resultssaid: “AccessBank’s success is the result of the hard work of all of our staff.
