New Quality Policy Approved at ArcelorMittal
OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2010. The new Quality Policy was approved at OJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih". The Policy is based on the new strategy of the enterprise and sets direction for substantial increase of efficiency, productivity of labor, quality improvement, competitiveness growth by implementing the "Lean production" system, developed and promoted by Japanese, and today recognized worldwide as a must.
Quality Policy is revised every year according to the current tasks the enterprise is facing. The issue of customer focus and customer relations optimization became of an utmost importance due to the overcoming the crisis consequences at the steel consumer market. The heightened attention to consumers is at the core of new Policy. It defines the necessity of exact specifications of consumers, clear understanding of their needs and organizing production in strict accordance with consumers specifications.
“This new policy sets clear focus on customer and brings our cooperation with customers to a totally new level ” – said Jean Jouet, CEO of OJSC ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih. – “Unlike in the times of mass production in the past, we are moving to a more targeted approach to each and every customer. We have to be more flexible and dynamic to satisfy demands of each individual customers. We have to be able to offer each customer unique, tailor-made approach as our advantage on the highly competitive market and our new quality policy defines this as a core priority”.
