OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2010. Almassadam Satkaliyev, the Company President, Serik Ospanov, Acting First Vice President, and Zhenis Tuyakov, Managing Director, during their working trip to the Republic of Korea met the head of the largest international corporation Mr. Kim N. Yong, President of Hyundai Group.

Prospects for cooperation relating to development of new high technologies and production, and sharing of best practice were discussed in the course of the conversation held.

Also there were meetings with Mr. Kim D. Wuk, President of Hyundai Engineering, Kim K. Yu., Senior Vice President of Hyundai Heavy Industries. KEGOC representatives visited a number of industrial facilities in Ulsan – power equipment manufacturer (transformers, metalclad switchgears), as well as a shipbuilding yard for large-capacity vessels manufacture and offshore platforms construction.

On 4 February Mr. Lee Jang Po, Vice President - International Projects, received the Kazakhstan company delegation in the headquarters of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEРCO). During the conversation the parties shared opinions of cooperation development issues.

As you know, KEРCO participates in Balkhash TPP construction, and in May 2009 KEGOC and KEРCO signed the Memorandum of Understanding stipulating exchange of information relating to power industry.
