OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2010. The representatives of Airbus UK made a work visit to VSMPO – Avisma corporation. The manager of Airbus UK, Andy Maller, noted that all the things he had seen at VSMPO aroused just positive emotions.

In his opinion, the corporation “kept supply for Airbus very well last year”.

In 2010 there are a lot of important tasks before VSMPO including projects А380 and А350. “These projects are very important for Airbus, especially A350, because it is a new program and we have rather difficult and concise schedule to realize it”.

Andy Maller considers, that all the specialists at VSMPO make a good job and he expressed the assurance, that the corporation fulfilled all the supply requirement for this new project.

The contract, that was made between Airbus and the VSMPO – Avisma corporation in 2009, specified delivery of forget parts, that would be used in manufacturing of all the Airbus planes, including the airplane of new generation A350 XWB. In the project of the biggest civil airplane A380 in the world, the VSMPO-Avisma corporation manufactures the elements of undercarriage group and fuselage.
