SIBUR Will Increase Target Cuts Recovery at Gubkinsky GPC
OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2010. Glavgosekspertiza Federal State Institution drew positive findings on the project for construction of the second low-temperature condensation unit (LTC-2) at Gubkinsky Gas Processing Complex.
Implementation of the project using the technology of LENNIIKHIMMASH Engineering Enterprise will increase the total target cuts recovery from associated petroleum gas (APG) at the plant to 99%. Gubkinsky GPC will become the leading Russian enterprise by this performance with increase of recovery depth to the level of the best world counterparts.
The expected time of the project implementation is the third quarter of 2010. Currently, site development is underway, materials are being procured, and supply of the main process equipment is proceeding to completion.
Gubkinsky GPC can produce up to 150 thou. tpy of broad fraction of light hydrocarbons (BFLH) delivered to Tobolsk-Neftekhim, a SIBUR's enterprise, for further processing.
Modernization of Gubkinsky GPC comprising two APG processing units started in 2004. Until then the enterprise had operated in the mode of a compressor station recovering insignificant amounts of natural stable gasoline (NSG) from APG only. As early as in 2005, the first low-temperature condensation unit was put into operation which permitted to recover up to 95% of target cuts thereat. Furthermore, a 32 km product pipeline was constructed for transportation of BFLH to JSC Gazprom's condensate pipeline.
