OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2010. ABTC director Javanshir Abdullayev says that development of the 800-page training aid in Azeri language was completed and since April they can begin certified courses within it.

“Depending on his success in the course the listener will be able to receive not only local but also European certificate. The course includes 300 hours and its part is devoted to practical lessons,” Abdullayev said.

The course envisages issue of certificate of program EFCB (European Foundation Certificate in Banking).

The ABTC is the 36th among the special institutions of the 14 countries (Scotland, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece, Russia, Germany, etc) that has authority to issue certificate within EFCB program.

In the former socialist camp only Poland, Russia and Azerbaijan have such certification. Even Turkey is lacking it.

Organization ACDI/VOCA, the performer of project “Support to small and medium businesses through financial sector development” rendered assistance to the ABTC within EBTN.

EFCB programme is designed for young bankers desiring to develop their career in a reliable and known way.
