OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2010. A delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation consisting of the representatives of the ministries, organisations, research institutions and industrial enterprises led by Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov visited Ashgabat.

The delegation was received at the Government of Turkmenistan, held the working meetings and business consultations at the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Motor Transport, Turkmenobahyzmat Association and Ashgabat Khyakimlik. The specialists from Tatarstan visited the industrial enterprises where they discussed the potential fields of cooperation including adoption of know-how, modernization and optimization of manufacturing process.

It was noted that partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatartstan was based on the intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation. The representatives of Tatarstan put forward the proposals to enhance cooperation in the high-tech and education sector, power, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, health care, machine building and shipbuilding.
