OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2010. The customs duties for obtaining permits, issued by the customs bodies in Moldova will be cancelled and electronic declarations systems will be created. This is provided by the amendments to existing legislation, approved by the Parliament in the first reading.

They are aimed at trade facilitation and harmonization of Moldovan legislation with European standards. In particular, the amendments to the Law on the Customs Tariff provide the exclusion of payments for some services provided by the Customs Service, namely: issuance of permits for processing at the customs territory and outside it, processing under customs control, temporary import except for the goods presented at fairs and exhibitions, cultural and sporting events; issuance of duplicate certificate of qualification in the field of the customs clearance, broker permission, permission to import goods originating from the free economic zones of the country.

As the Deputy Minister of Finance Victor Barbeneangra noted, it is planned that economic agents will be able to fill out an electronic transit declaration that will simplify the work of the business environment and reduce the cost and length of procedures related to the customs clearance of goods in the customs transit regime.
