OREANDA-NEWS. February 12, 2010. Azerbaijan’s Melioration & Water Industry Company reports that State Investment Program 2010 allocated AZN 70 million for the construction of Shamkir-Chay water storage reservoir, from which AZN 9 million for repayment of debt on works conducted in 2009.

“The project evaluated at totally AZN 400 million will hardly be completed in 2010,” the Company said.

Overall capacity of the storage reservoir will make 160 million cu m with usable storage capacity of 150 million cu m. The storage reservoir is designed for irrigation of 23,000 hectares of land.
